      1

      Self Defense

      From 1st week

      Every student start their Gracie Jiu Jitsu journey by getting acquainted with the principles of Self Defense.
      Those are the core techniques that will enable you to defend and escape from the most common types attacks both standing up and on the ground.

      Stand up Techniques

      From 1st week

      The techniques taught here will be practiced without the concern of punches and kicks. You will learn to understand better your balance, learn how to safely fall and to take down. Everything in a safe controlled environment. In cooperation with a training partner.

      3

      Ground

      Techniques

      From 1st week

      Also in cooperation with a training partner and with no concern about strikes, you will learn the very basic elements of the ground techniques.

      You will practice it in a combination of movements that have a beginning, middle and an end. Which will be a joint lock or choke.

      4

      Flowing Drills

      From 1st week

      The techniques you learn, you will then have the opportunity to practice in cooperation with a training partner.

      The flowing drills are a combinations of moves.
      Each partner have a role to play and the aim is to create muscle memory and to understand the timing, momentum and leverage of each technique.

      The Flowing Drills teach you how to apply the techniques you learn.

      Free Practice

      From 1st week​

      Each week you have the chance to come and train in your own time and for as long as you like.

      During the Free practice (3 sessions per week),
      you will play the flowing drills, watch advanced students "rolling" (free sparring) and you will make good friends.

      When you are 100% familiar with the 6 basic flowing drills, performing it super calm and relaxed , you will then be initiated on the rolling (sparring) by an instructor.

      From then on, you will be rolling as much as you like.

      6

      Advanced Classes​

      From 3 to 6 months

      Only after you reach a good mileage on your "Rolling Clock", you will be then invited to take part in some of the Advance classes during the week.

      It is a natural progression for you that are already well versed on the foundation of the art to keep evolving and this is the next step.

      Normally takes about 3 to 6 months for the average student to get here. 

      Every Student continues to attend the Fundamentals classes.
